Junior League of Long Island Holds Third Annual Coat ExtravaganzaBrand Name and Designer Coats Available to Long Island Families at Greatly Reduced Prices
Roslyn, N.Y. – September 29, 2009, The Junior League of Long Island (JLLI) will be holding its third annual Coat Extravaganza starting October 1, 2009, at its Roslyn Village Thrift Shop. New and gently-worn coats for children and adults will be available for purchase at greatly reduced retail prices.
Proceeds from the Coat Extravaganza will be used to help fund JLLI’s many community projects, including Kids in the Kitchen, Compute the Future and Project Playground.
“With winter quickly approaching and many Long Island families still having difficulty making ends meet, the Junior League’s Coat Extravaganza is a great way for them to get winter coats at prices well below department store prices,” said Deidra Maleno, President of The Junior League of Long Island. “Many are brand name or designer coats and are in terrific condition. Our Roslyn Village Thrift Shop is Long Island’s hidden treasure filled with an assortment of beautiful and unique items, including clothing, accessories and housewares, at very attractive prices. We encourage all Long Islanders to visit and see what the Thrift Shop has to offer.”
