In 2018-2019 The Junior League of Long Island awarded $10,000 in funds to Long Island non-profits to support their projects.  We completed 11 days of service outside of our organization from hosting a literacy fair, cooking brunch at Ronald McDonald House to filling and distributing backpacks with school supplies for children in need. We donated over 200+ dresses and accessories to LIVC Prom Boutique, we packed and donated 125 complete Thanksgiving family dinners to Long Island families and partnered with One World Girl, Inc., Domestic Harmony Foundation and Girls Scouts of Nassau County to host an International Day of the Girl event attended by over 120 women and girls. We also implemented a brand new program “Positively Me,” a day-two program that was a safe place for young girls to connect and participate in workshops to help foster confidence and inner strength.
