Welcome to the Junior League of Long Island!

What started in 1951 as the North Shore Service League and in 1962 became a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International is now a group of diverse women volunteers in more than 60 towns and cities across Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, and the Bronx who work together to improve themselves and their communities.

I am proud of the Junior League of Long Island’s legacy of cultivating the skills and talents of our members to bring about lasting and meaningful change. Together we work hard to ensure that legacy is ongoing.

We build playgrounds from the ground up.
We equip and empower women stepping out of poverty, addiction, and domestic violence to re-enter the work force.
We educate children on the importance of health and nutrition and inspire them to bring healthy living home.
We advocate for public policy and legislative reforms to improve the lives of women, children, and families.
We forge partnerships and make connections across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.
Most importantly, we train and empower women leaders to take action and become agents of change.

We are part of a diverse island with diverse needs and the mighty women that make up the Junior League of Long Island are well poised to identify those needs and find solutions.

I invite you to explore our website and find out more about our mission to promote voluntarism, develop the potential of women, and improve our community. You can help support our mission by becoming a member or by making a donation.

Thank you for your interest and support.
