“Ever since a young age I have been raised to give back to my community by my parents and grandparents. I am honored to not only give back my time and talents to Long Island but also serve in the role of President amongst so many dynamic women who share the passion for volunteering. The ladies of the League provide encouragement and engaging friendships not only to me but to our community partners, donors, patrons, and other members.” said Ms. Farnan. “There is truly no other place I’d rather serve than here, at this time, with my fellow volunteers.”

This League year will be focusing on Redefining the Junior League Woman. Throughout the 122 history of the Junior League internationally, and 72 years in the Long Island community we have seen women, especially our members guide the way in changing the role in which women are viewed and engaged as professionals, caregivers, civil leaders, and volunteers. JLLI will be focusing on not only enriching their membership through both professional and personal development training but also on nurturing strong and meaningful connections in the community in conjunction with each other.
